My house has gotten out of hand. It feels overwhelming. In a smaller home you have to keep it organized just to be able to fit everything, but here I have plenty of room to stash things until I get around to taking care of them. Obviously, the problem is that I don't always get around to it...
Here's the plan:
*Split up the house by rooms.
*Decide on one or two days for each room.
*Organize all aspects of the room.
*Finish small projects.
*Feel good for accomplishing something.
*Make a list of future projects for each room.
Tomorrow is going to be a busy, crazy day, but I'm going to start anyway.
Possible Room Order:
- Office - 1 day
- Master Bedroom - 2 days, need to do jewelry wall
- Kids bedrooms - 1 day, all are in decent shape with a few hooks to be hung
- Kitchen - 2 days, lots of organizing, new spice storage setup needed, roller shade
- Family room - 1 day, organize cupboards, hang artwork, put pulls on
- Laundry, Bench, Foyer - 1 day, hang mirror and organize
- Basement - 2 days, yikes!
- Front room - 1 day, organize book cases, easy
- Garage - 1 day
- Daniel's office - 2 days, enlist Daniel's help :)
Starting tomorrow...

It's so easy to get overwhelmed with housework. It'll feel better when you're all organized. I'll feel better when we're all packed. Although, that doesn't feel possible at the moment.
